Context cart & PDF import

The context cart holds reference material that travels with your dictation into the Enhance step: a lab summary pasted from the browser, a discharge summary, a referral letter. The model sees the context alongside the transcript, so the drafted note can quote the referrer’s question, the actual creatinine, or the current medication list instead of leaving gaps.

Pasted snippets

Click the basket button on the toolbar and paste. The cart holds up to 5 snippets (8,000 characters total), each shown as a chip you can preview and remove. The cart is cleared when you clear the workbench, so context never silently leaks from one patient into the next.

Drop in a referral PDF

Available onmacOS

On macOS you can drop a PDF referral (digital or scanned) straight into the cart. The document is read entirely on your Mac:

1. If the PDF has a text layer, Scribe0 uses it directly.
2. If it is a scan, on-device Apple Vision OCR reads it. Nothing is uploaded to read the document.

When the referral is read, Scribe0 also works out who referred the patient and offers to address your reply to them; the patient’s name, date of birth, and CC list are carried onto the letter. See Letters & documents.

Check numbers from scans

OCR of a poor scan can misread digits. Values pulled from a scanned document are worth a glance against the source, and Scribe0 checks extracted patient details against the source document before placing them on a letter.
