Built for the bedside
Section titled “Built for the bedside”- On-device transcription on the A-series Neural Engine — a compact Parakeet model (110M) tuned for iPhone. Audio never leaves the phone.
- Voice memo import — transcribe recordings made in the Voice Memos app.
- Share sheet — send a finished note into any app (Mail, Notes, your EMR’s app).
- Diarization — speaker labels for multi-party conversations.
- Per-session diagnostics (transcription speed, latency, memory) are saved with each note.
Drafting routes

Why is the iPhone model smaller than the desktop one?
Section titled “Why is the iPhone model smaller than the desktop one?”The 110M model is sized for phone memory and battery. It’s excellent for clear dictation; the desktops’ 0.6B model has the edge in noisy rooms or with heavy accents.
Does it drain the battery?
Section titled “Does it drain the battery?”Transcription runs on the Neural Engine, which is very power-efficient — a typical dictation session uses little battery.
