Web

Platform details for the Scribe0 web app at app.scribe0.com. For first steps, see Get started on the web.

The web app trades the native apps’ on-device privacy model for zero-install convenience:

  • Cloud transcription — audio streams to a cloud speech service for realtime results in any browser. (The native apps transcribe on-device.)
  • Accounts & sync — sign in anywhere; notes, prompts, snippets, and text replacements follow you.
  • Fullest editing toolkit — prompt manager with tags, reusable snippets, and automatic text replacements applied to transcripts.
  • Audio upload — transcribe existing recordings.

Why does the web app need an account when the native apps don’t?

Section titled “Why does the web app need an account when the native apps don’t?”

Sync. Your notes and settings live in your account so any browser can access them. The native apps store everything locally instead, which is why they don’t need sign-in.

Yes — the web app streams audio to a cloud transcription service. That’s the core trade-off vs the native apps. If audio must stay on-device, use the Windows or macOS app.

Current Chrome, Edge, and Safari. The microphone requires HTTPS, which app.scribe0.com always uses.

That’s exactly what it’s for — no install, no admin rights, just a browser and a microphone.
